Foil Tape

Aluminum Foil Tape is what plumbers use to seal pipe ducts. I picked up a roll at Wal-Mart.

My floor registers did not fit properly and some of the heat was being lost under the floor. I started with 1/4″ of the tape on the floor, pulled the duct in place and smoothed the tape down the duct wall. The ducts are secure and there is no loss of heat. The tape is hidden by the register covers.

My next project is to use it on the seams and elbows of the heat ducts and my dryer vent.
