My favorite dressing is “Western.” It’s like “French” dressing with a cowboy twang. It doesn’t have a kick, but has a twist on the classic French dressing.

My clever trick worked for all the other flavors of dressing, but not the “Western” brand because it has a smaller necked bottle. (Smaller necked…not long necked.)

Back to the dressing…

Like I said, it’s my favorite and I had to find a way to dispense it without getting a glob on one portion of the salad.

Then I noticed the neck of my ketchup bottle. It looked to be the same size. When the bottle was empty, I put the lid in the silverware tray of the dishwasher.

After it was clean, I tried it on my Western dressing bottle and…

…it worked!

I use a clean ketchup bottle lid on my bottle of Western dressing.
